SCAM WARNING FOR QUILTERS AND DESIGNERS Just this week I received an email requesting an order of 200 "Best Buds" patterns. The sender indicated that he was a distributor from Finland. It was evident that he had knowledge of my pattern and had been to the website. Red Flags went up when he refused to pay by PayPal. I could not locate him or his company on the internet. So, knowing this may be fishy, my detective instincts kicked in and I went fishing. When I agreed to find a way to accept his credit card, he was thrilled. Long story short, I was expected to pay for the shipping up front through Western Union and then he would add it to the bill. ATTENTION LADIES and GENTLEMEN. NEVER EVER PAY TO BE PAID. This is a new twist to the phone scams. The name this scammer used was Markus Springmann from Country Primes INC in Lautiosaari, Finland.   The Harbor Star is the new home of As many of you know, I suffered a spinal cord injury last year. While laying in bed for 3 months, I could not sew quilts, but I sure could "see" quilts! I sketched and sketched. As soon as I could I was stitching! Best Buds is the first and when I look at it, I smile! My furry friends kept me company during my recovery.
